"The radeau des illusions"

Leafing a newspaper I came across this picture ...
E 'of Rancinan Gérard, a French photographer who did not know ... It' s a remake in a contemporary way, one of the paintings that I love most: The Raft of the Medusa by Théodore Géricault ... a picture that I hope I can soon go to the Louvre to admire ....
In site of the shipwreck of the frigate Jellyfish are here portraits of the survivors today, immigrants and young people off the street ... whatever a glimpse of the world we live in, in fact.
Personally (but it is a trial by secular), I prefer a different type of photography, not "built" and more spontaneous, sparked by the ability who, with a simple click, manage to catch the most extraordinary moments of real life ....
Nevertheless this picture really hit me, leaving me speechless ... and that's why I decided to post it ... It seemed like a provocation, probably forced, but very realistic about some truth now ... Finally, very functional and expressive, the two symbols placed in such distant destinations coveted a few possible "salvation" means the written Hollywood, broken, and Tour Eiffel.
final observation: The title Rancinan gave to his work is "The Raft of the illusions ".... Who would not feel in some way called into question?
