Legislation in Italy

In the field of animal testing the most significant laws in Italy were basically the following:
  • Legislative Decree No 27 January 1992 116 (Official Gazette of February 18, 1992 No. 40) "governing the protection of animals used for experimental and other scientific purposes. Restricts experimentation to cases where it is not possible to obtain the result sought, use another method that is scientifically valid.
